PQA Technical Education Webinar

Current, updated PQA Value Sets, which include National Drug Codes (NDCs) and other codes, are needed to calculate PQA measures as specified. PQA has improved the structure of the value sets to improve their usability, and we now offer a monthly NDC subscription option for licensees.

These improvements are based on user feedback and PQA is hosting a Technical Education Webinar to explain the changes. Organizations using PQA measures should attend this webinar to minimize disruption with the transition to a new format for the PQA Value Sets in 2020.

 

During the webinar, PQA’s Joel Montavon, our Director of Analytics and Performance Measurement, will:

 

1. Explain why changes were made to PQA Value Sets;

 

2. Illustrate the new structure for PQA Value Sets;

 

3. Outline the Value Set User Guide; and

 

4. Introduce the new monthly NDC subscription offering and changes to our licensing policies.

Presenter

Joel Montavon is PQA’s Director, Analytics and Performance Measurement. He is responsible for updating and maintaining PQA measure specifications, testing new and revised measures, and supporting new measure development and endorsement. Joel also provides technical support related to the use of PQA measures. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in data analytics from the Ohio State University.
