Garnering Valuable Research Expertise and Insight through Collaboration

Research Coordinating Committee

To enhance and promote the PQA research portfolio, PQA has established the PQA Research Coordinating Committee (RCC) with the goal of providing insight toward and assistance with PQA-led research efforts. The group prioritizes the PQA research focus and recommends potential partners and/or sites for demonstration projects using the PQA Research Prioritization Timeline and Framework. This multi-stakeholder committee has representation from across PQA’s membership in sectors such as academia, community pharmacy, health/drug plan, life sciences, healthcare technology, Government agency, and the patient community.

Research Prioritization

The RCC has been instrumental in the development and use of the PQA Research Prioritization Timeline and Framework for the consideration of new PQA research initiatives. The proposed project ideas under the RCC’s consideration are evaluated on relevance, importance, feasibility and potential impact.

Committee Co-chairs:

  • Terri Warholak, PhD, RPh, CPHQ, FAPhA; Assistant Dean, Academic Affairs/Assessment, Professor, Pharmacy Practice & Science, Assistant Professor, Public Health, University of Arizona, School of Pharmacy
  • Heather Black, PhD; Director, Healthcare Quality Research, Merck & Co.

Executive Research Advisory Council

The PQA Executive Research Advisory Council (ERAC) advises the organization on the focus of its growing research portfolio. Together with the RCC, the ERAC strengthens PQA’s research at all levels. The ERAC also will help to promote PQA research and advise on dissemination strategies.
