Nominations Sought for 2021 Community Pharmacy Innovation in Quality Awards

PQA, CPF-Sponsored Awards Honor Innovative, Pioneering Community Pharmacy Practices

Alexandria, Va. (December 7, 2020) – Nominations are sought for the 2021 Community Pharmacy Innovation in Quality (CPIQ) Awards. Presented by the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) and the Community Pharmacy Foundation (CPF), the awards honor an individual and a community pharmacy, whose innovative practices have improved care quality, medication optimization and patient outcomes.

Now in its fourth year, the awards provide national recognition for individuals and organizations, whose pioneering community pharmacy work is collaborative, impactful, replicable and scalable.

“Community pharmacy continues to evolve to meet the needs of today’s patients and our health care system, which is increasingly driven by value and shared responsibility,” PQA CEO Laura Cranston said. “The CPIQ Awards celebrate the innovative work that is taking place across the nation to leverage pharmacy services that improve health care delivery and the lives of patients.”

Priority areas of focus for the awards are practices or programs that address vulnerable populations, gaps in quality or patient care and the quadruple aim of health care: patient experience, population health, reducing costs and care team well-being.

Individuals may nominate themselves, their organizations or others through an online nomination form now through February 1, 2021. The nomination form and additional award information can be accessed via the Awards Page on PQA’s website. PQA membership is not required for nomination or selection. Past recipients include:
