Senior Director, Performance Measurement 


Carolyn Lockwood, MSN, RN, serves as Senior Director of Performance Measurement at Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA). Carolyn oversees PQA’s measure testing, maintenance, value set curation, and technical assistance for quality program implementation. Additionally, she provides expertise in all phases of the measure development process and and the consensus-based endorsement. 

Prior to joining PQA, Lockwood worked at Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) to assess measure gaps and led a team responsible for developing a de novo tool to assist CMS in assessing quality measures. Carolyn has been responsible for maintaining and developing clinician and facility-level quality measures for use in federal and internal quality programs. She has a background in informatics working to implement, manage, analyze and optimize the use of electronic health data to improve patient care and clinician experience. She also has a background in critical care nursing.

Lockwood has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama Huntsville and a Masters of Science in Nursing Informatics from Walden University.

In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking and spending time with her grandchildren in her spare time
