Research Associate


Carly Vogel, PhD, is the Research Associate at Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA). Dr. Vogel supports PQA’s research efforts to develop evidence to support meaningful quality measures; demonstrate the value of medications and pharmacist-provided care; and foster collaboration within the healthcare system to address social determinants of health and improve medication access. Her role includes providing analytic support, analyzing data, interpreting findings, producing effective data visualizations, and participating in dissemination activities.

Prior to joining PQA, Dr. Vogel was involved in various research projects at the University of South Florida (USF) related to quality of care within long-term care communities. She taught multiple sections of aging-related undergraduate courses at USF and was the administrative assistant for the Center for Hospice, Palliative Care & End-of-Life Studies. Dr. Vogel brings to PQA a strong background in mixed methodology and expertise in quality of care from a gerontology perspective.

Dr. Vogel received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and her doctorate in Aging Sciences from USF. She enjoys kickboxing, reading books and graphic novels, walking with her dog, and spending time with friends and family.
