James Escamilla

Administrative Assistant

James Escamilla serves as an administrative assistant at PQA where he supports the organization's overall operations.

Before joining PQA, James worked as a Human Rights Leahy Vetter Intern with the State Department where he drafted congressional reports and vetted security assistance when finding allegations of gross violations of human rights. Before that, he interned at Save The Children, where he focused on ensuring policies critical to children’s lives and futures were prioritized by policymakers. James also worked as a law office assistant where he led efforts in migrating sensitive client data from an end-of-life database to a new platform in record time - drastically reducing information technology costs and maintaining client confidentiality.

Escamilla is a graduate of the University of New Mexico where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies and a certificate in National Security and Strategic Analysis.
