Quality Metrics Subgroup: Adherence

The QM Adherence Subgroup will review the existing set of PQA adherence measures to recommend additional guidance or clarification to the PDC technical specifications. This workgroup will determine the need for expanding this set of measures to include new categories of medications. This subgroup will recommend how to measure “primary” non-adherence to medications (i.e., the failure of a patient to begin using a newly-prescribed medication). The Adherence Subgroup will monitor and report the progress of external projects studying how to improve adherence.
